Funding Process

Two times per year, the Foundation solicits small grant ideas from the teaching staff through an application process.

At any time during the year a teacher or group of teachers may apply for a large project award of any value. 

Small Grant Awards
  • $250-$750 Mini-Grants
  • $250-$1,500 Collaborative Grants
All small grant and large project proposals are evaluated by peer review committee comprised of :
  • 2 teachers from the Elementary School
  • 2 teachers from the Middle School
  • 1 administrator
  • 2 Trustees from the Shamong Foundation

After peer review, the applications are sent to the entire group of Foundation Trustees for approval.

After approval by Foundation Trustees, the Shamong Board of Education needs to accept the funds.
